About this time of the year, getting close to Fall, i get in this super workout mood. So i started researching lastnight. I used to follow Sarah Dussault's blog all the time but yesterday i caught up with it. She always motivates me. So i looked up on if she had some circuit training plans and she did-- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q9V3e6RNwlU !!! Its a great workout. So i did it today. Over here in Alabama, its pouring rain. Which i am thankful for because it has not rained since August 11th. Haha, weird that i know the date, right? Anyway, i did this workout in the rain. Plus i added some stuff to it. Here is what i did today:
11 AM - hard sprinkling rain, but not pouring and not sprinkling.
I ran at about a 9 minute pace for 10 minutes. Almost a mile but not quite.
Got my mat (still in the rain) and completed 15 pushups.
Then i did 20 reps of walking lunges. Which equals to 40 total steps. My last 20 steps were up hill and very hard. But my legs were totally burning and i felt accomplished. But still had more to do!
I went back to my mat(raining harder now) and i planked for 1 minute. Make sure to use a stopwatch during some of these timed exercises.
Then i got a chair and did Chair Dips(10 REPS). Sarah shows you how to do them in the video above. They made my arms burn like crazy. Never realized how effective they are.
Then i went in to do the Sumo Squat and did about 20 of these but did 10 first then rested for a few seconds and did 10 again. These are actually really good exercises.
Then i did speed squats-20 of these. A regular squat, but you squat faster. Lol.
Then i did the split squat jump(as many as you can. aim for 20 total). You get in a position of a lunge and then you switch the legs by jumping. If you want to know exactly how to do these, Sarah has them on her youtube channel "Sarahsfabchannel". Great vids.
I came inside and did arm workouts and some butt exercises like leg kicks and stuff.
This evening i did the katy perry workout --http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yz8yKECk_M0 . The skater one is my fave! It really makes your heart beat fast.
I'm going to do this 4 days a week. Mondays and Tuesdays. Thursdays and Fridays. After i go to school. Wednesday will be a rest day. And Saturday, im going to make myself start my long runs like i used to do. I've slacked on my running this summer. I hate running in the summer. The End. haha. Sundays, will just be sort of a rest day but i wont slack off completely. I'm really going to try staying consistent. Thanks for reading!! XXaudreyT
